I know, right?
When we started in June 2006 we didn’t think about whether or not our project would be done by now or not.
We just went out and interviewed people, and talked to them about the punk days in Toronto. Commercial considerations didn’t enter the picture.
Before too long we’d shot so much stuff we needed terrabytes of storage. We needed terrabytes before we even knew what terrabytes were.
We kept writing this blog, and it seemed as though the blog was doing better than the film project, at least as far as public visibility goes. Blogs don’t cost anything; documentaries cost money, even in the digital age. Getting turned down for funding from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Arts Council sort of took the wind out of our sails for a couple of weeks, but we didn’t let it cramp our style; we’ve got more interviews lined up.
